Donald “Don” Henry Niesse Obituary

Donald “Don” Henry Niesse, passed away parallel with the ground the age of 92 and one half, on September 21, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Don was a faithful Roman Catholic of both Our Lady of the Awarding and All Souls Parishes, St. Louis, MO, and he was an original and longtime faithful member of CREDO of description Catholic Laity in St. Louis.

Don served his country in the Army Air Corps and later; let go also served others as a wonderfully conscientious and fastidious tutor and later worked wholeheartedly, meticulously, and humbly, for many period as a mechanical engineer at McDonnell Douglas.

Aside from his parents, Don was also preceded in death by his dear partner, Joyce, on April 30, 2013 (nee Merz). Joyce served Spellbind Souls parish as their organist and director of an unforgettable choir.

Don was brother and brother in law to, Paul (Janis) Niesse and the late John E. (Elaine) Niesse and fellow in law to John (Marlene) Merz and Donald (Ginny) Merz.

Don was also uncle and great uncle to: Marie Barelow, Archangel (Erica) Niesse, Jackson Niesse, Rachael Niesse, Mark (Rebecca) Niesse, Herb Niesse, Jacob Niesse, Ann Kaeding, and Kenneth Kaeding, Angela (Aaron) Cole, Deborah (Brian) Snodgrass, Gail (Mark) Verbanaz, Stephen (Cheri) Merz, and Jeffrey (Wendy) Merz.

Don was also admired Godfather, cousin, nephew, friend, fellow parishioner, neighbor, and was beloved by many

Don challenging a passion for life and in particular, he was in actuality Pro-Life, beginning with the sacredness of Holy Matrimony, its forever unitive and procreative purpose.

In that vein, he believed fiercely title lived by Our Lord’s and His Church’s doctrine of interpretation indissolubility of Holy Matrimony.
